The Assembly Committee for Regional Development has today welcomed the launch of a consultation on the new proposed Lagan Footbridge.
Speaking at the Lagan Footbridge Information Day in Belfast City Hall, Committee Chairperson Jimmy Spratt MLA said: "This is a very exciting project which has a great deal of potential and which will link the Gasworks site and Ormeau Embankment at Ormeau Park in Belfast. The Department will be holding further information days over the next few weeks and I would urge people to attend these and to see the variety of options for the footbridge for themselves".
