Enterprise Committee welcome ‘Titanic’ grant

The Chairperson of the Enterprise, Trade and Investment has welcomed the Executive’s approval to bid for a £25m grant from the UK Lottery fund for the Titanic Quarter project in Belfast.

Mr Mark Durkan, Committee Chairperson said:

‘This major tourist project has the potential to attract significant numbers of visitors from around the world. Investment in the tourism infrastructure is essential to economic regeneration within Belfast and throughout Northern Ireland as a whole. The Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment is taking an active interest in the Titanic Quarter and other signature projects such as the Giant’s Causeway and the Walled City signature projects’.
