PAC continues its inquiry into the Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme

Session: Session currently unavailable

Date: 26 October 2016

Reference: PAC 02/16/17

The Northern Ireland Assembly's Public Accounts Committee has taken evidence from Ofgem on its Inquiry into the Non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme.

The evidence session raised some more very serious issues in relation to Ofgem's administration and governance of this scheme. The Committee remains fully committed to finding out what went so seriously wrong in the delivery of this failed renewable heating scheme.

Following the hearing, the Committee agreed that the Department of Economy still has a lot more questions to answer. The DfE's Accounting Officer will come before the Committee on 9 November to resume his evidence to this inquiry. The Committee will also be hearing from other organisations related to this inquiry.
