Over 60 older people will debate the issues of health, crime and fuel poverty in a Pensioners’ Parliament on Friday 25 November.
The debate, chaired by the Speaker of the Assembly, William Hay MLA, will be run in the same way as an Assembly debate with older people proposing three Motions and Ministers responding to the issues. An official report of the debate will be provided by Hansard.
Ministers due to attend and respond are: Junior Minister Jonathan Bell ( on behalf of Health Minister Edwin Poots) , Minister Stephen Farry (on behalf of Justice Minister David Ford) and Minister Nelson McCausland.
The debate has been organised with Age Sector Platform.
