Primary Picassos Shine at Assembly Art Awards

The Deputy Principal Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly Francie Molloy MLA will host an Awards Ceremony for winners of the Northern Ireland Assembly Art Competition on Friday 30 March 2012.
The Competition aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils in Primary Schools across Northern Ireland, attracted over 2,000 entries, with winners selected from each Northern Ireland Education and Library Board region.
The Awards event will include a prize giving ceremony and an exhibition of winning art work. All 22 winners will also work with top local artists from the Community Arts Partnership on a collaborative sculpture made from willow, which will also be showcased in the Great Hall at Parliament Buildings.
