Has served as a member of Derry City Council for 18 years. Was elected as mayor of Derry 1999/2000. Currently Chair and leader of the SDLP Group of Councillors in Derry City. Electeed to the Northern Ireland Assembly in November 2003, appointed SDLP spokesperson on Culture , Arts and Leisure. |
