Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee on Procedures. This Committee has been established to consider and review on an ongoing basis the Standing Orders and procedures of the Assembly. The Committee Chairperson is Mr Gerry Kelly.


Latest News

The Committee on Procedures will hold its next meeting on Tuesday 09 February 2016 at 13:15pm in Room 21, Parliament Buildings. In closed session the Committee will consider a draft report on the review of public petitions procedures. In public session the Committee will consider revising Standing Orders for Hybrid Bills, the Code of Conduct, the Public Services Ombudsman Bill and time allowed for answers to supplementary
questions.

Forthcoming business will also be published in the Business Diary

Review of the Public Petitions Procedures

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee on Procedures is undertaking a Review of the Public Petitions Procedures in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The aim of the review is to examine the effectiveness of current procedures and to consider if a revised system of public petitions should be introduced to the Assembly.
