Committee Motion Highlights Crime against Local Businesses

The Committee for Justice has called on the Minister of Justice to work with the PSNI to address business crime and its effects on the local business community in Northern Ireland.

Justice Committee hosts discussion on Review of Efficiency in criminal proceedings

The Northern Ireland Assembly Justice Committee today hosted an event to discuss a recent report into the efficiency in criminal proceedings in England and Wales. The author of the report, the Rt Hon Sir Brian Leveson, President of the Queen’s Bench spoke to members of the Committee and invited guests about the report’s findings and the lessons that Northern Ireland can learn from it.

Committee to host Digital Justice Conference

Decision to Close Four Courthouses Premature, says Committee

The Assembly Committee for Justice has today called the Justice Minister’s decision to close four courthouses premature and has asked that consideration of their future be part of the wider departmental debate on its estate strategy.
