Finance and Personnel
Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee for Finance and Personnel. The Committee was established to advise and assist the Minister of Finance and Personnel, Mr Simon Hamilton MLA, on matters within his responsibility as a Minister. The Committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department of Finance and Personnel and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation. The Committee Chairperson is Mr Daithi McKay.
The Committee for Finance and Personnel will next meet on Wednesday, 3 March 2015 at 10:00 am in Room 30, Parliament Buildings when the Committee will be briefed by officials from the Northern Ireland Law Commission and the London School of Economics and Political Science on the consultation on the reform of Defamation Law in Northern Ireland.
The Committee will also be briefed by a delegation led by the Northern Ireland Independent Retail Trade Association on the Non-Domestic Revaluation.
The Committee will give further consideration to its draft report on Sickness Absence in the Public Sector in Northern Ireland and will also consider the European Commission Work Programme 2015 and will examine 3 items of subordinate legislation.
