The meeting commenced at 2:30 pm in open session.

1. Apologies

As above.

2. Chairperson’s Business

The Chairperson informed Members that Mr Gavin Ervine, the Committee’s Senior Assistant Clerk, had suffered a family bereavement.

Agreed: The Committee agreed to send a card to Mr Ervine to convey its condolences.

Agreed: The Committee agreed the note of the informal session of the Committee’s reporting stage deliberations on 23 September 2021.

Alan Chambers joined the meeting at 2:35pm.

3. Draft Minutes

Agreed: The Committee agreed the minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 23 September 2021.

4. Matters Arising

There were no matters arising.

5. Correspondence

There was no correspondence.

6. Forward Work Programme

The Chairperson referred Members to the draft Forward Work Programme.

Agreed: Members agreed to extend the deadline for deliberations and asked the Clerk to revise the Forward Work Programme accordingly.

7. Any Other Business

There was no other business.

8. Date, Time and Place of the next meeting

Members agreed to confirm the date and time of the next meeting during its informal session following this meeting.

The Committee moved to closed session at 2:37pm.

9. Rights for Inclusion – Consideration of potential rights

The Committee continued its reporting stage deliberations.

Agreed: The Committee agreed to complete its report by the end of January 2022.

Agreed: The Committee agreed Thursday 4 November 2021 at 2:30pm as the date of the next meeting.

Agreed: The Committee agreed that it would meet weekly following the meeting on 4 November 2021.

The meeting adjourned at 2:52pm.
