Committee for Education Meeting - 09 April 2014
The Committee for Education met at 10.00am on Wednesday 9 April in the Senate Chamber, Parliament Buildings.
The Committee were briefed by the Minister of Education, Mr John O'Dowd MLA and officials from the Department of Education on the progress of the Education Bill and vacancy control at the Education and Library Boards and on the revised Common Funding Scheme.
The Committee also considered the way forward for its consideration of STEM issues.
In closed session, the Committee considered a draft report on its inquiry into the Education and Training Inspectorate and the School Improvement Process.
