Public Accounts Committee Meeting - 03 December 2014

The Public Accounts Committee met on Wednesday 3 December 2014 at 2:00pm in the Senate Chamber Parliament Buildings when the Committee held an evidence session into the Primary Care Prescribing inquiry. Witnesses that appeared before the committee included Mr Richard Pengelly (Accounting Officer, DHSSPS), Dr Mark Timoney (Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, DHSSPS), Mr Joe Brogan (Head of Pharmaceutical and Medical Management, Belfast Health & Social Care Board.

Kieran Donnelly and Jack Layberry (Treasury Officer of Accounts) were also in attendance.

Following the evidence session the Committee met with the C&AG and the Treasurer of Accounts to discuss the session.

The Committee will also be briefed by Northern Ireland Audit officials on the Northern Ireland Audit Office Corporate Plan 2015-16 to 2017-18.

The Committee discussed a draft press release in regard to the Inquiry into The Future Impact of Borrowing and Private Finance Commitments and Belfast Metropolitan College's Titanic Quarter PPP Project.
