Control of Data Processing Bill
Clauses
The Health and Social Care (Control of Data Processing) Bill has six clauses:
Clause 1 sets out the circumstances for which the Department may make regulations to make provision for the processing of Health and Social Care information.
Clause 2 allows the Department to establish a body to authorise the processing of confidential information as defined in the Bill.
Clause 3 places an obligation on the Department to publisha Code of Practice in respect of the processing of information.
Clause 4 relates to control of regulations made under the Bill.
Clause 5 sets out the definitions of specific terms used within the Bill.
Clause 6 sets out the title and commencement dates.
