Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment Meeting - 29 April 2015

The Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment met on Tuesday 28 April 2015 at 10.00am in Room 29, Parliament Buildings. The meeting will began in closed session with a joint briefing by DETI and the Utility Regulator on electricity security of supply.

The meeting then went into public session with briefings from DETI and the Utility Regulator and then Grow NI in regards to the Committee’s Inquiry into ‘Economic Growth and Job Creation in a Reduced Tax Environment’. Following the briefings the Committee then considered legislation on SL1 The Biocidal Products (Fees and Charges) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015; research papers on ‘Tourism statistics methodology: a comparison across the UK and RoI’ and the Committee’s visit to Stuttgart; and Departmental written briefings on the Insolvency (Amendment) Bill and DETI Business Plan 2015/16.

The Committee also considered written briefings from the Irish Congress of Trade Unions regarding the Committee’s Inquiry, the DEBT Action NI Annual Report 2013/14 from Advice NI and an EU Matters Newsletter.
