Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment Meeting - 19 May 2015
The Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment met on Tuesday 19 May 2015 at 10.00am in Room 29, Parliament Buildings. The meeting began in public session with a briefing from Invest NI on its End of Year Report 2014/15. Following the briefing, the Committee considered a Departmental paper on Proposed Amendments to the Insolvency (Amendment) Bill at Consideration Stage. The Committee then discussed DETI Regulation of Insolvency Practitioners before considering legislation on SL1 Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemicals (Amendments to Secondary Legislation) Regulations (NI) 2015.
The Committee also considered research papers ‘CETI Stakeholder Event: Growing the Economy and Creating Jobs in a Reduced Tax Environment’ and ‘Northern Ireland’s Global Competitiveness in Comparison’.
Finally, the Committee went into closed session to consider the draft ‘Report on the Committee’s Inquiry into Growing the Economy and Creating Jobs with Lower Corporation Tax’.
