Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment Meeting - 02 June 2015
The Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment met on Tuesday 2 June 2015 at 10.00am in Room 29, Parliament Buildings. The meeting began in public session with a briefing from the Department on its response to the Electricity Policy Review Part III Grid Connections. The Department also briefed the Committee on the June Monitoring Round 2015-16.
Following the briefings the Committee considered SL1s in relation to Offshore Installations (Offshore Safety Directive) (Safety Case etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015, Genetically Modified Organisms Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 and Renewables Obligation Closure Order (Northern Ireland) 2015.
The Committee also considered an Assembly Research Paper on Support for Entrepreneurship in NI and ROI and written briefings from the Department on the Northern Ireland Broadband Improvement Project and updates on the Report on the Inquiry into Renewable Energy and Strategic Energy Framework Implementation Plan.
The Committee then moved into closed session to consider its report on the Inquiry into Growing the Economy and Creating Jobs in a Reduced Tax Environment.
