APN 259 - 17/22: Arrangements for the Ad Hoc Committee on the COVID-19 Response

On Tuesday 31 March 2020 the Assembly resolved, as provided for in Standing Order 53(1), to appoint an Ad Hoc Committee to receive oral statements from Ministers on matters relating to the COVID-19 response and to question Ministers on such statements. All Members of the Assembly are members of the Committee. The Chairperson of the Committee is the Speaker or, in his absence, a Deputy Speaker.

The Committee may not meet on days when the Assembly is sitting. The procedures of the Committee shall otherwise be such as the Chairperson may determine.

The Speaker, as Chairperson of the Ad Hoc Committee on the COVID-19 response, has since issued guidance for Members on the procedures of the Committee.
