External Liaison Unit Request for a Visit

Thank you for your request to visit the Northern Ireland Assembly.  We will try to assist with your request.

Where we can host your visit we aim to provide a programme that meets the visitor(s) needs wherever possible – in terms of content, level of expertise etc.  We would also like to create opportunities to learn from those who visit us.

It is important that we have full contact details for the person initiating the request, and information about the proposed visitor(s) and their expectations.

We would be grateful if you could complete the form below.  Should you require space for additional information, please attach a separate sheet.

Timing. It is recommended that you avoid recess periods, particularly if one of your aims is to meet with Members of the Legislative Assembly.
The Assembly is in recess over the Christmas and Easter holiday periods, and for a more extended period over the summer from the beginning of July until the beginning of September
You should also be aware that the Assembly meets in Plenary session on Mondays and Tuesdays with most of the Committee Business conducted on Wednesday and Thursdays. MLAs are not normally available on Fridays as they work in their constituency offices.
Sponsorship. The Assembly does not have a budget to sponsor visiting delegations. Visitors are expected to be self-financing.
