Get Involved

What:
This free conference brings the Assembly and its work to your local community. Your group and other groups in your area will learn more about how the Assembly works and get the opportunity to question your local MLAs about the issues that matter to you.

By the end of the conference you will understand more about:

  • The work of the Assembly vs. work of the Executive
  • The Speaker and his role
  • The Assembly week and when business is scheduled
  • Committees, how they plan their work and the best way to communicate with them
  • How the Plenary works

There will also be a speed networking session with MLAs from your local constituency and from across Northern Ireland.

Where and when:
The 'Get Involved' Conference takes place in community facilities across Northern Ireland four times a year, and run from 9.30am to 1.45pm.
