The Assembly Committee for Health has agreed to hold further evidence sessions on the financial and governance practices at the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Services.
The meetings, which will take place early in 2013, will include evidence from an NIFRS staff member whose whistleblowing resulted in a Department of Health investigation published by the Minister on 16 October.
Also expected to speak to the Committee are former Chief Fire Officers who were in post during the period under investigation and the former Chair of the NIFRS Board, all of whom will be asked to discuss the findings of the Report.
Notes to Editors:
Dates for the meetings have not been agreed; the details of the meetings will be published, once agreed, on the Northern Ireland Assembly website: www.niassembly.gov.uk
