Red Despatch Boxes from the Senate Chamber. The mystery of the red dispatch boxes in the Senate Chamber, why the building was once covered in cow manure and tar, and what caused the fire in the Assembly Chamber in 1995 – these are just some of the things you will find answers to on one of our new public tours of Parliament Buildings.

Available on the hour, every hour from 10am to 3pm, Monday to Friday in July and August, our free public tours will take you behind the scenes of Parliament Buildings. Learn about the history of the building and its beautiful architecture and see inside our Chambers, library and Committee rooms.

And while you are here, why not take a walk in the beautiful grounds of Stormont Estate, or take the kids to play in the Mo Mowlam Children’s Park.
