Assembly Round Up
The Assembly’s Social Development Committee was out and about this week when Members combined their weekly Committee meeting with a visit to the new Jobs and Benefits Office in Andersonstown, Belfast.
Members met with staff who explained how a new computer system which has been recently installed was helping to streamline tasks and allowing staff the time to talk to and help more of their clients.
Committee Members were impressed to learn that in just one month, staff had been able to set up more than 400 job seeker interviews and had handled 2,500 phone queries from the public on jobs and benefits.
