Enterprise, Trade and Investment

Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment. The committee was established to advise and assist the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Ms Arlene Foster MLA, on matters within her responsibility as a Minister. The committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation. The Committee Chairperson is Mr Patsy McGlone.

The Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment will hold its next meeting on Tuesday 4 November 2014 at 10:00am in Room 29, Parliament Buildings, when the Committee will be briefed by the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment on the impact of budgetary constraints on DETI and its Arm's Length Bodies.

The Committee will also be briefed by representatives of NISTA and Action Renewables on the impact of changes to the Northern Ireland Renewables obligation (NIRO) on the solar PV Industry.

The Committee will consider written briefings from the Department on the Renewable Heat Incentive and prompt payment of Invoices before moving into closed session to discuss the Electricity Policy Review Part III, Grid Connections.
