Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment. The committee was established to advise and assist the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Ms Arlene Foster MLA, on matters within her responsibility as a Minister. The committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation. The Committee Chairperson is Mr Patsy McGlone.

Supporting Growth in the Sustainable Energy Sector

The Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment, put forward a motion in the Assembly (18 Feb 2013) calling on the Executive to encourage and support growth in the sustainable and renewable energy sector. Chairperson of the Committee, Patsy McGlone MLA discusses why this is important to the local economy.

Committee for Enterprise, Trade and investment Visit Bombardier

Members of the NI Assembly Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment saw Bombardier’s CSeries aircraft wing production at first hand during a visit to the company’s new wing facility.  In addition to a tour of the 6000,000 sq ft facility, members were given a briefing on Bombardier’s impact on the Northern Ireland economy.
