Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee for Employment and Learning. The committee was established to advise and assist the Minister for Employment and Learning, Dr Stephen Farry MLA, on matters within his responsibility as a Minister. The committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department for Employment and Learning and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation. The Committee Chairperson is Robin Swann MLA.

The Committee for Employment and Learning will visit Ulster University Coleraine Campus and Sea Technology, Derry/Londonderry on Wednesday 30 April.

The Committee will hold its next formal meeting at 10.00am on Wednesday 7 May in Room 30, Parliament Buildings.

Inquiry into Post Special Educational Need Provision in Education, Employment and Training for those with Learning Disabilities

The Committee is undertaking an inquiry into post Special Educational Need (SEN) Provision in education, employment and training for those with Learning Disabilities in Northern Ireland. 

Please note that the deadline for those who would like to submit evidence on the inquiry is 30 June 2014.
