Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee for Employment and Learning. The committee was established to advise and assist the Minister for Employment and Learning, Dr Stephen Farry MLA, on matters within his responsibility as a Minister. The committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department for Employment and Learning and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation. The Committee Chairperson is Robin Swann MLA.

The Committee for Employment and Learning will next meet at 10.00am on Wednesday 12 March in the Senate Chamber, Parliament Buildings.
The Committee will be briefed by representatives from Colleges NI on the Salisbury Review of Industrial Relations in Further Education Colleges.
The Committee will also be briefed by officials from the Department of Employment and Learning on the Disability Employment Service Strategic Review and on the proposed consultation on the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005.
