Welcome to the Home Page of the Committee for Employment and Learning. The committee was established to advise and assist the Minister for Employment and Learning, Dr Stephen Farry MLA, on matters within his responsibility as a Minister. The committee undertakes a scrutiny, policy development and consultation role with respect to the Department for Employment and Learning and plays a key role in the consideration and development of legislation. The Committee Chairperson is Mr Basil McCrea.

The Committee for Employment and Learning will hold its next meeting at 10.00am on Wednesday 23 May. During the meeting Members will receive a briefing from the Western Health and Social Care Trust on the Condition Management Programme.
The Women’s Network will be present to brief Members on the work of the organisation and officials from the Department of Employment and Learning will brief the Committee on Northern Ireland’s student fees legislation.
